Summer vacations for public and private schools extended in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa until 31 August. The extension is due to the intense heatwave in the province.
Extra classes will be held for students in classes up to 10 in all government and private educational institutes. The extended vacation will affect the academic calendar of the current academic session. Meanwhile, schools’ administrations and offices will remain open to keep the admission process running.
The summer holidays for schools and other educational institutes in Punjab have been extended to 14 August. The decision was made in consideration of torrential rains and flash floods that caused a great deal of destruction in various parts of the province, and the deaths of about 136 people.
